FAQ's

Welcome to our FAQ, we have tried to answer the most common questions.

Shipping & Returns

Do you ship honey outside of Nova Scotia?

We can't just yet! We ship other things though. Stay tuned for changes in the future.

What shipping method do you use?

Right now we use Canada Post primarily. When they're down, we use UPS.

Do you ship internationally?

We ship to the USA and Canada only at this time.

Why is shipping so expensive?

ChatGPT says that shipping is expensive due to rising fuel costs, labor shortages, packaging materials, and global supply chain disruptions. Carriers also factor in handling fees, distance, and delivery speed. For small businesses, lower shipping volumes mean they can’t access the bulk discounts that large retailers get, which drives costs even higher.

That's us! Very small...

When do you deliver in HRM?

We deliver once a week. We try and get your order to you as quickly as possible. Made to order items may take up to two weeks.

Can I pick up at your farm?

Not just yet!

Products

Do you make custom dog collars/leashes?

We can! But it'll take longer and cost more. To reduce waste, we don't stock large quantities of material. If there is a Biothane® colour you love, we can special order the material. Contact us if you're looking for something a bit different.

Why is my honey turning hard? Is it still good?

Your honey is crystallizing! It is still perfectly good to eat, in fact some people prefer it that way. You can warm it in the sun or in a bath of warm water to bring it back to its liquid state. Only real honey crystallizes a sign of its authenticity. Cooler temperatures speed up the crystallization process, store at room temperature between 18C and 24C.

Is this raw honey?

It is! straight from the hive, through the extractor, strained, and bottled. No heat. You will find grains of pollen and comb.
